6 Reasons Always Having A Goal Will Change Your Life

We all know that feeling of intense excitement, relief, or sense of pride when we accomplish something we have been working towards. It's that moment after winning a sports game that you have spent months training your a$& off for. That time you got your grade back and found that you had passed the class! Taking that second to catch your breath, right after hitting your new squat PR.

VICTORY

It's moments like these that make you just stop. You feel so proud of yourself, it feels like nothing could ever stop you from accomplishing anything. All the doubts you had, fall away, and the world is yours for that little moment in time. But then it's over, and from that point you the decision to, 1) let that moment, that feeling live in your memory. Allow it to be one of the greatest victories of your life and leave it at that. You can move on and live the rest of your regular life. Or, 2) You take that extraordinary feeling and you use it to fuel your passions. Let it be the drive to create your next goal(s) and keep actively working to build the life you want.

Set goals and start creating your life exactly how you want it to be

It's a cycle; motivation leads to putting in the time and effort, time and effort lead to results, and results lead to more motivation, if you let it. ;)

When you have the motivation to accomplish anything you set out to do, success is your only option. Here is the list of the 6 reasons always having a goal will change your life..

1. It gives you a purpose. A reason to get up in the morning and not dread the day ahead. When your goal is coming from inside, you have a connection with it. There is a reason you want to make this happen, so you do what it takes to achieve this goal. It's on your mind so often, it distracts from the mundane or less appealing tasks you need to complete throughout the day. It gives you a sense of hope for the future and may even make you enjoy doing the required, tedious tasks; because with each small accomplishment, you're another step closer to your goal.

2. Requires you to think. Having a goal allows our minds to do what they do best, think. It feels good to plan and accomplish tasks. You decide exactly what your goal is going to look like, how it is going to make you feel when you accomplish it, and each step you will take to get there. Thinking about all of these ignites your brain with the possibilities. When that happens, even more ideas come to the table, you start researching, becoming more educated and looking for resources that will help you turn the dream into a reality.

3. Creates energy and excitement in your life. This one, although similar to #1, deserves its own bullet point because it's such a good feeling to be excited about something and want to create it. This is where every dream or idea begins; a feeling of wanting something that is going to make you feel good. Pretty much, right? When you have that thing, idea, goal, dream, passion, or whatever it is.. DON'T GIVE IT UP! This is your time to shine! It gives you that feeling that we are all searching for. Give it all you got. Become a pro at it and present it to the world proudly. You will be filled with passion and enjoyment while you're doing it, that means it's already a success from the very beginning.

Love this life

4. Opens a whole world of opportunity. This is one of my favorites, because it's easy to be lazy and unmotivated, and it's usually very easy to do the bare minimum. Our minds and bodies can survive off the bare minimum. Go to work so you can eat, have a place to lay your head, and keep your things, and maybe have some friends or family nearby to socialize when the need arises. But what about the good part of life? The creativity and passion? The dreaming and loving? The building and creating? Humans have so much potential and brain capacity. Try establishing some goals that will push you to do more. Appreciate the world and opportunity we have. Get out of bed earlier than you have to and plan the day ahead of you, so by the time the sun goes down, you feel that sense of accomplishment knowing you're another day closer.

5. Leads you closer to the life you want. With each goal set, continuously worked towards and then accomplished, we grow as individuals. Mentally and depending on the goal, physically too. We become wiser and dare I say, happier. We are all searching for our own versions of happiness, a life that will make us feel good. I don't think happiness is any one thing or destination, but it IS that feeling of accomplishment, it IS living your dreams and passions, it IS having a purpose.. Your life is created by you. So take the steps to create it exactly how you want it.

6. Inspires others around you. The world needs more genuine, passionate individuals in it. Be that person who steps out of the mundane and starts living. Enjoy your life and every step of creating it. Be kind and help others around you create their lives too. We are only truly well, when all of us are well. Let's brighten up the world in every small way we can. Starting with yourself and your mind. Turn up the passion and create your goals. Work everyday to achieve them. Be the example and help show others that it's possible.

Too often people choose the path of just survival living. They don't allow themselves to dream big or believe in themselves. Any good thing in their life might've just been "luck or perfect timing"..

Take responsibility for your life, damn it! No one is going to do it for you. Find your passions, the things that spark a fire in your soul. Those are the things that deserve your attention. The possibilities are endless.

Be a light in the world. Inspire others to do the same in theirs. The human race has so much potential. Let's use it and explore the possibilities.

Let your passion burn bright, the world wants to see

I dare you to try something today. Write down what inspires you, it could be travel, health, fitness, music, helping others, or anything in between. Then make another list of what you love to do, whatever it may be. Get your brain thinking of all the positive things in your life. Lastly, write your list of goals, all of the things you want to accomplish in your life on a sheet of paper and hang it somewhere you will see everyday. Or copy me and re-write the list daily, become inspired again and again. You will see as the list starts to get checked off, everything starts to change. This is you becoming aware of yourself and taking control of your life. My challenge to you.. Set some goals.
